Strategically located behind and between the Zhongshan International Hotel and the Fuhua Hotel – not so long ago, Zhongshan’s top accommodations – Friends has been running for seven years now, making it something of an institution, and for a long time Zhongshan’s only expat rendezvous venue. It has a familiar rock hall of fame themed interior, and a spacious central bar that makes it easy for solitary out-of-towners to wander in for a drink. The recently added alfresco tables and chairs out front are likely to get a bit more popular now that warmer weather is on the way.
