In Jiangmen City, the 600-room Yucca Hotel is still towering over the competition – literally. But if a change of environment from where you are doing business is something you would prefer, the Long Chan Resort is a good option, too.

But its surroundings are tranquil, and its accommodation is comfortable. Interesting offerings include Chinese cuisine cooked in spring water, along with a wealth of sporting recreational options and a sauna.
With summer approaching, the reservoir swimming area – complete with an artificial beach – will start to crowd on weekends with locals and with visitors from further afield. Easy access from Jiangmen city center – it’s around a 10- minute taxi drive – make it worth at least a short visit.
