ThyssenKrupp Elevator has finished construction of its largest plant in Zhongshan, the Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.
ThyssenKrupp Elevator opened the new plant on November 16, which it claimed to be the most modern production site for escalators, moving walk ways and passenger boarding bridges. Located in the Huoju Development Zone, Zhongshan, the new plant covers an area of 95,000 sq. m. According to Ramon Sotomayor, CEO of the escalators/passenger boarding bridges business unit, the new plant is the only one of ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s four production bases in the world that can manufacture all the group’s products.
