Hong Kong topped the list of China's most competitive cities in 2006, according to a survey which was released by the China Institute of City Competitiveness on Thursday, the Southern Metropolis Daily reports. Shenzhen was listed at number four, up from fifth last year, while Guangzhou remains at sixth. Shanghai remained at second and Beijing third.
Six cities in the Pearl River Delta were included in the list's top 30. Dongguan was rated 11th, up from last year's 17th, and Zhongshan was listed as 21st.
