Safari Park, Shenzhen

Africa comes to China in the middle of Shenzhen, where you can watch the King of the Jungle lie around listlessly in the humidity of a tropical climate. Set away from the hustle and bustle of the city’s traffic near the picturesque Xili Lake, the park is less a safari than a zoo with a botanical garden attached, but it nevertheless makes for an interesting break from the hustle and bustle of the business circuit, especially if you have kids with you.
