Shenzhen Golf Club

This 27-hole club has the distinct advantage of being in the heart of the city, a short hop from the border with Hong Kong. It was recently given a complete makeover before hosting the 2005 China Open, and the clubhouse now offers world-class facilities.

Originally designed by Isao Aoki in 1985, it was redesigned by Nelson & Haworth in 2000.
The course itself is tough enough to make China’s top golfer, Zhang Lianwei, who still calls the club “home”, describe it as “challenging”.
