These two offer an attractive alternative to standard hotel rooms in Shenzhen. Fraser Place in Shekou is the most comfortable option in the vicinity, with 232 units including studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, and four-bedroom duplexes. It’s really nice to have an apartment to pad around in when you have been on the road for a few days, living out of a suitcase.

More than two-thirds of rooms are for long-staying guests, but there are usually units available for overnight stays. There is not much in the way of hotel-style dining facilities, but the breakfast café is good, and the in-room kitchens make up for any other shortcomings.
